Paper factory wastewater treatment

Vertical pump with vortex impeller. 6 meters length. The vertical immersible sump pump is installed in external sump that collects wastewater from paper pulp process. All the intermediate bearing bushes, four in this execution, are lubricated by an external source: bushes are always in contact with clean liquid. This execution is used when the pumped liquid is dirty, sticky or with suspended solids.

Ultrafiltration

Ultrafiltation (UF) can be used to purify and recover water in waste oil emulsions from metal working processes such as turning, milling, grinding, rolling and degreasing, in order to reduce costs for waste handling.

Condensate effluent tank

The small particles suspended in the liquid are very fine: these particles are so dangerous for bearing bushes and mechanical seal that standard vertical sump pump can’t be used. A key feature of cantilever pump is that there no bearings or bushings submerged therefore the pump can handle liquid with solids and operate dry.

Pretreatment for painting

A high-quality conversion coating is essential for the durability of painted metal goods. The process of applying an inorganic conversion coating to a metallic surface involves removing any surface contaminants, then chemically converting the clean surface into a nonconductive, inorganic conversion coating. RBC cantilever pumps are able to work dry and do not need to be stopped when the level is too low. They can work continuously without having to be run by level probes. A key feature of cantilever pump is that there no bearings or bushings submerged therefore the pump can handle liquid with solids and operate dry.

Ethanol distillation

Our RB pumps, thanks to the channel impeller, can move without clogging problems and with high efficiency large quantity of vinasse. Furthermore they must ensure the movement of product in heavy conditions in terms of vacuum. Stillage, also called distillery wastewater or vinasse, is the aqueous byproduct from the distillation of alcohol. Vinasse is used as feedstock in biofuel production and as an agricultural fertilizer and soil conditioner.

Stick water evaporation

Multiple effect evaporator operates under vacuum to lower the boiling point temperature, with steam used as the indirect heat source to facilitate the evaporation. The circulation pumps are one of the key points of the plant as they must ensure the movement of the product in heavy conditions, in terms of vacuum, viscosity and specific gravity of the product (in particular for the final product).

Cooling water

For cooling using a cooling tower, the water is drawn once from a river, lake or the sea depending on the power station’s location, and fed into a collecting tank underneath the cooling tower. The water is drawn from there with pumps and transported through heat exchangers, then returned to the collecting tank via the cooling tower. RCV pumps are installed in this collecting tank.

Floating pump station

Open pit dewatering is a process where dirty water is pumped out from the pit using high-head drainage pumps, preferably suspended from underneath. The water can contain suspended solids and traces of sand. The big channel impeller pump is installed in a pontoon for dewatering pits.

Sugarcane ethanol distillation

More than 20 pumps are installed in ethanol distillation plant. Vortex impeller pumps are used for sugarcane and yeast and closed impeller pumps are used for ethanol. Sugarcane ethanol is an alcohol-based fuel produced by the fermentation of sugarcane juice and molasses. Cane are cut and milled with water; this produces a juice with 10-15% solids from which the sucrose is extracted. Sugarcane contains the following: water (73-76%), soluble solids (10-16%), and dry fiber or bagasse (11-16%).
